A complete technical enquiry helps the manufacturer review the correct construction and define the quotation scope. A product photograph alone is often insufficient.
1. Equipment and intended use
Describe the equipment, operating environment and function of the cord. State exposure to heat, movement, abrasion or any special connection condition.
2. Destination market and plug type
State the country in which the product will be used or sold and the required plug. European, UK and South African plugs are not interchangeable details in an order.
3. Electrical and construction data
Provide declared equipment voltage and current/power, earthing requirement, requested conductor count and available size preference, cable type, overall length, colour and equipment-side termination. Final values must be confirmed through technical review.
4. Sample, drawing and dimensions
Send a physical sample, dimensioned drawing, wiring diagram or specification where available. Product-specific details matter: for an inline switch cord, identify dimensions before and after the switch; for a coiled cord, state working length and terminations.
5. Quantity and packaging
Provide quantity, trial or series-order status, packaging and labelling expectations, delivery location and any target date. Lead time can be confirmed only after construction, quantity and production planning are reviewed.
From enquiry to production
Rimsan reviews the enquiry with product code, application and available production options. For suitable products, in-house plastic injection moulding supports assessment of connection and outer-construction requirements. Agreed technical scope and order details are confirmed before production.
